When Rhys Carr walked into Ryton for his first day of work as Coventry City coach, there was a shock in store.
When he applied for the job, it was with the understanding that he would be joining a Mark Robins coaching team which included Adi Viveash. He arrived on that first day and quickly found out that things had changed.
‘The job I got came up because Dennis Lawrence had gone over to the MLS to work with Eric Ramsay. When I came into the club I was expecting to work with Mark and Adi. It took me completely by surprise to come in on my first day and to learn that Adi had gone. That was my expectation and it changed on day one.’
