Frank Lampard faces a difficult task maintaining the team spirit of Coventry City’s Championship winners while adding the quality required for the Premier League.

That’s the view of former Sky Blues boss Eric Black.

The Phoenix spoke to Black just a few hours after it had been revealed that Jake Bidwell had not been included in Coventry’s 25-man Premier League squad.

Bidwell’s omission provided a reminder of the difficult decisions that come with promotion, particularly after Coventry brought in 12 new players during a major summer overhaul.
