Jake Bidwell has been omitted from Coventry City’s 25-man Premier League squad – leaving the Sky Blues with space to make an addition from the free-agent market.

Coventry have registered only 24 senior players, meaning Frank Lampard could add another player outside the transfer window.

There was confusion on Thursday night when the squad published on the Premier League website included Crystal Palace’s Dario Osorio. There had been an expectation that Bidwell would appear once that apparent error was corrected. However, when the list was updated this morning, Osorio disappeared but Bidwell remained absent.
