Coventry City are likely to face a much-changed Aston Villa side at the CBS tonight.
That is the view of Michael Plant, Editor of The Holte Roar, as the two clubs face off in the Carabao Cup this evening.
‘I expect Villa to rest and rotate, especially given there are several players who have been held back at the start of the season,’ he predicts.
Villa have been hit with several injuries early in the campaign, with Ian Maatsen, Matty Cash, Pau Torres and Brian Madjo all set to miss out. That, coupled with the chop-and-change approach most clubs take towards the Carabao Cup, means Coventry are likely to face a very different Villa line-up to the one that lost against Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
