Yann Gboho has become Coventry City’s final addition of the summer, joining the Sky Blues from Toulouse.

The Ivory Coast attacker will take the final spot in Coventry’s 25-man Premier League squad following some confusion over the club’s submitted list earlier in the day. Only 24 senior players were named, with Jake Bidwell the notable omission, prompting speculation that Coventry had deliberately left a space open to recruit a free-agent left-back.

Instead, that 25th spot belongs to Gboho.

And while the timing of the announcement may have come as a surprise, it appears the deal had actually been in the works for several days.
