Earlier this year, I was at a press conference at which Tatsuhiro Sakamoto was asked why he felt he was so loved by Coventry City supporters.
His response told you everything you needed to know about the man. He suggested that many fans had connected with him because he couldn't speak English particularly well.
There are two things worth pointing out here. Firstly, Sakamoto actually speaks English very well. Secondly, his answer demonstrated just how humble the Japanese winger is.
He reinforced that impression by proceeding to list all the things he believed he wasn't particularly good at.
