Frank Lampard faced some big decisions following last weekend's dismal defeat to Fulham, and against Sunderland he showed that he is prepared to make them.

The Coventry City boss made significant changes to his starting XI, including the decision to drop captain Matt Grimes in favour of Victor Torp, and was richly rewarded as the Sky Blues recorded an impressive 3-1 victory over Sunderland at the CBS Arena. Against Fulham, Coventry had looked predictable, pedestrian and lacking in attacking ideas, but here they were on the front foot, willing to play forward quickly and equally happy to go long when the situation demanded it.
