It’s been quite the Saturday evening. A few hours ago, reports came, pretty much out of nowhere, that Coventry had agreed a deal to sign Nottingham Forest attacker Taiwo Awoniyi. Famed transfer tweeter Fabrizio Romano gave it the old here we go treatment, saying that the 29 year old is all set for a medical to seal the deal.

As if that wasn’t enough excitement for one night, less than an hour later, reports claiming to confirm yesterday’s suggestions that the club were also in for Fenerbahçe’s Sidiki Cherif started coming in from reputable sources.
