LIVE BLOG: Coventry vs Aston Villa

A wasteful piece of play just before half time as Cherif runs clear down the right. Gboho was a little slow getting into the box but Cherif did have support in the middle. Rather than squaring, he opted to shoot from a tight angle and the chance is gone.

It's the theme of the season. The Sky Blues were having a great spell but then they're punished.

Ross Barkley is somehow allowed to get a free header inside the box from a corner. Villa are back in front.

Stephen Mfuni has shown some real quality on the ball. You can see why Manchester City were keen to get him a Premier League loan.

That said, he looks very confident in his own ability and has almost played himself into trouble once or twice.

Some tireless work from Bobby Thomas ends with the ball at his feet just outside the six-yard box but Thomas opts to pass and the chance is gone.
